Unless stated otherwise, the maximum group size is 4 participants plus the guide. Participation is limited to persons aged 18 and over; minors may only participate when accompanied by a parent or legal guardian, who bears full responsibility for them.
Unless agreed otherwise, the tour price includes use of the bicycle or e-bike, helmet, lock, guide services, and standard equipment necessary for the tour.
2.2 Bicycle rental
Rental services may include city bikes, trekking bikes, gravel bikes, fatbikes, e-MTBs, and other bicycle types listed on the website or offered individually.

3.2 When the booking is confirmed
A booking becomes confirmed once the provider accepts the reservation request by e-mail, message, phone confirmation, or platform confirmation.
For bookings made through third-party platforms, the payment and cancellation conditions of that platform may apply in addition to these Terms and Conditions.
3.3 Payment methods
The following payment methods may be accepted, depending on the service and booking channel:
- Payment card
- Cash
- Bank transfer in CZK or EUR
- Online prepayment through a partner platform
3.4 Guided tours — payment
Guided tours are payable at the meeting point before the tour starts, by card or cash, unless agreed otherwise in advance.
If the booking is made through an online platform that requires advance payment, the client shall follow the payment terms of that platform.
3.5 Rentals — payment
Rental fees are payable upon handover of the bicycle to the customer, by card or cash, unless agreed otherwise in advance.
A refundable security deposit may also be required upon handover in accordance with Article 6 below.
4. Cancellation
4.1 Cancellation by the client — guided tours
If the client needs to cancel a guided tour, they should inform the provider as soon as possible by e-mail or phone.
No cancellation fee is charged for cancelling a guided tour, including late cancellation or no-show, where payment was to be made only at the meeting point. However, the provider reserves the right to refuse future bookings from clients or groups with repeated no-shows.
If the guided tour was booked through a third-party platform with advance payment, the cancellation and refund rules of that platform may apply.
4.2 Cancellation by the client — rentals
If the client needs to cancel a rental booking, they should inform the provider as soon as possible by e-mail or phone.
No cancellation fee is charged for cancelling a rental booking where payment was to be made only upon handover. However, the provider reserves the right to refuse future bookings from customers with repeated no-shows.
If any amount was exceptionally paid in advance, the cancellation conditions agreed individually or those of the relevant booking platform shall apply.
4.3 Cancellation by the provider
The provider may cancel, postpone, shorten, or change a tour or rental due to adverse weather, safety concerns, technical issues, illness, force majeure, or other operational reasons.
In such cases, where no payment has yet been made, no payment is due. If any advance payment has been made, the provider shall offer a rescheduled date, service replacement where appropriate, or a reasonable refund, depending on the circumstances.
5. What we ask from you
5.1 Before the tour or rental
The client must:
- Be at least 18 years old, unless accompanied by a parent or legal guardian
- Be medically fit for the chosen cycling activity
- Be able to ride a bicycle safely and confidently
- Present a valid ID document for visual verification at the meeting point or handover
- Be responsible for arranging any travel or accident insurance they consider appropriate
5.2 During the activity
The client must:
- Wear a helmet while riding if a helmet is provided as part of the service
- Follow the guide’s instructions and applicable traffic rules
- Refrain from riding under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or medication affecting safe riding
- Not leave the group during a guided tour without the guide’s explicit consent
- Report without delay any health issue, accident, or technical problem
Failure to comply with these rules may result in refusal of participation, exclusion from the tour, or early termination of the rental for safety reasons.
6. Security deposit — rental only
No security deposit is collected for guided tours.
For rentals, the provider may require a refundable security deposit in cash only. The amount of the deposit depends on the type of bicycle and will be communicated before or at the time of booking confirmation.
The deposit serves as security for damage, loss, theft, excessive dirt requiring extraordinary cleaning, late return, or non-return of the bicycle or accessories.
If the bicycle and accessories are returned on time and in the agreed condition, the deposit is returned to the customer after inspection.
The provider may use all or part of the deposit to cover any justified claim. If the damage or loss exceeds the deposit amount, the client remains liable for the difference.
7. Liability and insurance
7.1 Provider’s liability
The provider is liable only for damage caused to the client by a proven breach of legal duty on the part of the provider.
The provider is not liable for:
- Damage caused by the client’s own negligence or misconduct
- Failure to follow safety rules or the guide’s instructions
- Ordinary risks inherent in cycling and outdoor activity
- Acts of third parties
- Force majeure or circumstances beyond reasonable control
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where such exclusion is not permitted by law. Under Czech law, liability for intentional harm, gross negligence, or interference with natural rights cannot be excluded in advance.
7.2 Client’s liability
The client is responsible for damage caused to the bicycle, e-bike, accessories, or other equipment during the time it is in the client’s possession or use, except for ordinary wear and tear.
For guided tours, if damage is caused intentionally, through gross negligence, or by a serious breach of the guide’s instructions, the client is liable for the actual damage caused, up to the bicycle’s current fair value.
For rentals, the client is liable for damage, destruction, theft, loss, or non-return of the bicycle and accessories, up to the bicycle’s current fair value at the time of the incident.
The bicycle’s current fair value shall be determined with regard to its type, age, condition, and normal depreciation. If repair is possible, the client is liable for the actual and reasonably incurred repair costs.
7.3 Insurance
Clients are strongly encouraged to arrange their own travel, accident, or liability insurance, especially when travelling from abroad or participating in sporting activities.
8. Personal data protection
Personal data is processed in accordance with applicable data protection laws, including the GDPR.
Further information on the processing of personal data is available in the Privacy Notice published at: https://www.pedalczech.cz/privacy
As a rule, only the personal data necessary for booking, service provision, legal compliance, and legitimate business protection is processed. ID documents are visually checked only, unless a stricter verification method is required by law or agreed individually.
9. Complaints and dispute resolution
Any complaint should be submitted without undue delay to info@pedalczech.cz, together with a description of the issue and any relevant supporting documents.
The provider will review the complaint and respond within a reasonable period, taking into account the nature and complexity of the matter.
